The Egyptian People's Assembly has decided to honor the national team for their victorious African Cup of Nations campaign. The Pharaohs have clinched a record sixth Nations Cup title after defeating four-time winners Cameroon on Sunday. "Egypt players, technical staff and Football Association members will be honored in the People's Assembly on Sunday," Egyptian FA treasurer Ahmed Shaker said. Egypt president Hosni Mubarak was present in Cairo airport to welcome the players and technical staff following their heroics in Ghana. They were also honored by Dubai ruler Mohamed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum earlier this week.
