Hamburg SV coach Huub Stevens said that Mohamed Zidan's form with the Egypt national team is not important to him. Zidan helped Egypt grab a second successive African Cup of Nations in Ghana, but the feat does not mean much to the Hamburg manager. "I have congratulated him. But I do not care how he plays with the national team. He must play well here. That is me," Stevens was quoted as saying by daily Bild. The Dutch coach insisted that Zidan joins the team as soon as he returns from international duty, with HSV are preparing to take on FC Zurich in the UEFA Cup on Thursday. The Bundesliga side warned Zidan of being late for the game, saying that "he has a contact here, not in Cairo." However, Stevens is yet to decide whether to rush the 25-year-old directly into action against the Swiss champions. Zidan struggled to find his place in Steven's starting eleven this season, as the Egypt forward only managed 1 goal in 13 games.
