Emad Meteb notched a hat-trick as Egypt settled for a 3-3 draw with Angola in Lisbon in the Pharaohs' last warm-up for the African Cup of Nations in Ghana. Ahli striker Meteb put Egypt ahead early in the game but his strike was cancelled out by his club teammate Flavio Amado midway through the first-half. The 24-year-old Meteb restored Egypt's lead shortly after but was once again denied by Flavio. Angola had the advantage through Dede early in the second-period before Meteb secured a share of spoils. Egypt crushed Namibia 3-0 and edged past Mali 1-0 in the previous warm-up games for CAN 2008 in Ghana. The players will return back to Egypt before heading to Kumasi, where they will play in Group C along with Cameroon, Sudan and Zambia. Early Lead Meteb needed five minutes to put Egypt in front from inside the area. Mohamed Shawky's shot was parried by Angola keeper into the path of Mohamed Fadl, who squared to Meteb for an easy tap-in. Flavio leveled the score in the 23rd minute after his marker Wael Gomaa was caught napping.
Flavio escaped Gomaa to receive Figueiredo's whipped-in free-kick with a header past Egypt keeper Essam Al-Hadari. Moments later, Meteb restored the Pharaohs' lead after finishing off a swift move. Shawky released Fadl with a deft pass before the Ismaili striker crossed to Meteb, who poked into an empty net. Gomaa Errors In the 32nd minute, a sluggish interception by Gomaa allowed Flavio to go clear on goal but his near-post shot missed the target. He made amends five minutes later when he converted a penalty after he was subjected to a reckless two-footed tackle by Gomaa. Another blunder by the Al-Sailiya on loan defender helped Angola go ahead two minutes after restart. Dede cut ahead of Gomaa to divert Loco's low cross past Al-Hadari. Meteb salvaged a draw two minutes past the hour mark when he rose unmarked to head home Ahmed Hassan's free-kick. Egypt could have snatched a victory but substitutes Ahmed Al-Muhammadi and Omar Gamal wasted golden opportunities late in the match.
