Marca stated that the Mexican player's agent Pini Zahavi contacted Real to offer Dos Santos, but the Spanish champions have not acknowledged the approach. Dos Santos is expected to sign a new deal with Barca in the near future, but his representative preferred to 'keep other options open in case an agreement was not met'.
