Bremen president won't oppose Diego dream move

Werder Bremen president Jurgen Born revealed on Thursday he will not stand in the way of Diego should the Brazilian playmaker demand a move to Real Madrid.
"If Diego really wanted to go to Real Madrid I would not oppose him going," Bolan was quoted as saying by Spanish daily Marca.
The in-form Diego has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Bremen, with Real Madrid being mooted as his possible destination.
Since France great Zinedine Zidan announced his retirement, Spanish giants Real lacked the presence of a truly playmaker.
The 22-year-old Diego could be the right man to play that role.
Stay Hopes
However, Born still hopes he can persuade Diego, whose contract runs out in 2011, to continue with Bremen.
"Diego is an important player. He would only leave if he wanted to go and we were not able to keep him."
"But we are going to do everything possible to keep him and I do not want to imagine him not playing for my team," he added.
