Hamburg SV coach Huub Stevens has a number of injury worries ahead of the UEFA Cup clash with Stade Rennes on Thursday. The Bundesliga side's official web site stated that Nigel De Jong and Timothee Atouba did not train with the team and could not feature in the Group D clash. Furthermore, Ivorian midfielder Guy Demel and Peruvian forward Paolo Guerrero are also in major doubt with calf and stomach problems respectively. "Paolo has missed a lot of training, and we will have to wait and see how things go with Guy", Stevens said. If Guerrero failed to make the starting line-up, underachieving Egypt striker Mohamed Zidan could be given the opportunity upfront. "It doesn't matter who is in the side, our goal is to win the game and set ourselves up nicely for coming matches," added the Dutch coach. Meanwhile, Dutch winger Romeo Castelen and young defender Jerome Boateng trained with the team and are expected to make the squad.
