Franck Ribery scored and dished out an assist to help Bayern defeat Wolfsburg 2-1 at home on Saturday and return to winning ways in the Bundesliga. The French winger beat three defenders before crossing to Miroslav Klose, who notched the opener ten minutes before the break. Ribery doubled the advantage five minutes after re-start, poking home between the legs of Wolfsburg keeper Simon Jentzsch. Iranian-born Ashkan Dejagah pulled one back in the 72nd minute with a thunderous shot from inside the area that left Oliver Kahn with no chance. Bayern held on to their lead to claim a victory which ended their three-match winless streak. The Bavarian giants are in charge of the Bundesliga table with 31 points, just one ahead of second-placed Werder Bremen, who beat bottom club Energie Cottbus 2-0. Brazilian playmaker Diego opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 63rd minute before John Mosquera ensured the victory seven minutes from time. Defending champions Stuttgart are on their way to regain competitiveness after coming from behind to crush Eintracht Frankfurt 4-1.
