John O'Shea has penned a new three-year deal with Manchester United, keeping him at Old Trafford till 2012, the Premiership champions said. O'Shea, who made his United debut at 18 and considered now as one of the team's experienced players, was hailed by manager Alex Ferguson. "I'm delighted he has signed a new contract," Ferguson said on the club website. "He has proved over the years through his personality and professionalism that he is an outstanding credit to Manchester United." The 26-year-old Irishman can play defense and midfield roles. He scored 12 times in 263 appearances for Manchester. "I hope to play my part in bringing more trophies to the club and to continue the success with this young, exciting team," O'Shea said.
