Bayern Munich defender Valerien Ismael believes he is too old to stay on the reserves bench, demanding a move out in January. The 32-year-old Frenchman told the club his wish and Bayern will likely let him go, sports director Uli Hoeness was quoted as saying by Kicker magazine. Hoeness, though, said Ismael would depart if Bayern signed Brazilian defender Breno, who plays for Sao Paolo. Ismael, with zero international caps, joined Bayern in 2005 from Bremen but broke his leg in the following season and failed to break in the starting line-up since then. He fumed at Ottmar Hitzfeld's decision to drop him out of the first team squad despite injuries hitting Daniel van Buyten and Martin Demichelis. Ismael said in French paper L'Equipe that he won't accept to play for the reserves at this age.
