The Military Academy Stadium will host the CAF Champions League final second-leg between Ahli and Etoile Sahel, the Egyptian FA announced on Thursday. Ahli were reluctant to accept playing at Military Academy, making presistent efforts to have Cairo Stadium available for the crunch encounter. However, the Egyptian Higher Council for Sports (HSC) have turned down Ahli's request, insisting that the 74,000-seated stadium should be ready to host the Pan Arab Games opener, scheduled for November11th. The Military Academy, which can host around 29,000 spectators, will be familiar to the Red Devils who played in it during Cairo Stadium's renovations prior to the 2006 African Cup of Nations. The Stadium also witnessed Ahli's 2005 Champions League triumph at the expense of Tunisian side Etoile Sahel, whom they face again in their year's final on November ninth.
