The Military Academy Stadium is likely to host the CAF Champions League final second-leg between Ahli and Etoile Sahel, according to a source from the Egyptian club. The Egyptian Higher Council for Sports (HCS) turned down Ahli's request to play the crunch encounter at Cairo Stadium because the 74,000-seated building will be busy hosting the Pan Arab Games opener. The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told FilGoal.com that the HCS should have chosen another stadium to host the Pan Arab Games opener because they were aware Ahli would choose to play the final at Cairo Stadium. The Red Devils recently said they were ready to play the match on ninth instead of 11th November because the latter date clashes with the Arab Games opener. However, the HCS have rejected Ahli's request, saying that the state of the pitch would be affected in case the final takes part in it. Ahli have met Etoile Sahel at Military Academy Stadium in the 2005 Champions League final, crushing the Tunisians 3-0 to claim the trophy after the first-leg ended in a goalless draw.
