Zamalek assistant coach Ayman Mansour denied on Wednesday reports saying that skipper Hazem Emam has been handed an EGP 10,000 fine for allegedly offending a teammate. Egyptian daily Al-Messa claimed that Emam accused Wissem El-Abdi of deliberately collecting yellow cards as not to play for Zamalek. The Tunisian defender was even handed a straight red card in the Cairo giants' 1-1 Egyptian League draw against Suez Cement for an ugly off-ball challenge. Zamalek are implementing a strict disciplinary policy lately, following the team's disappointing results which saw them slip to seventh place in the league table. Striker Amr Zaki was banned for one month and fined EGP 45,000 for publicly criticizing his teammates.
