Two sublime strikes from Cesc Fabregas and Emmanuel Adebayor helped Arsenal come from behind and defeat Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 at White Hart Lane in the North London derby. Tottenham youngster Gareth Bale put the hosts ahead on the quarter hour mark before Togolese striker Adebayor leveled the score in the 65th minute. Spanish in-form midfielder Fabregas added the second for the Gunners ten minutes from time before Adebayor wrapped up the victory in stoppage time. Arsenal are fifth in the Premiership table with 10 points, one behind leaders Liverpool, who played an extra match while Tottenham's poor results saw them occupy 14th place on four points. Gale fired Spurs in front after 15 minutes when his free kick went past the poorly-erected wall and found its way at the near post to send the home fans into ecstasy. Arsenal then dominated and Adebayor was denied twice by Paul Robinson saves. Abou Diaby almost grabbed the equalizer when he was released by Alexander Hleb's pass inside the area but his powerful shot struck the bar. The giant Adebayor drew Arsenal level five minutes past the hour mark after connecting with Fabregas free-kick to head home. Fabregas turned from provider to scorer in the 80th minute after his powerful long-range drive left Robinson with no chance. Adebayor ensured Arsenal's win just before the end when he flicked Fabregas' short pass before turning and hitting a superb first-timer into the top corner of the net.
