Patrick Vieira is unhappy that Inter Milan tried to bar him from playing with France, in fear of aggravating a muscular injury. The giant midfielder has last played for Inter in the Italian Super Cup against Roma due to the injury he sustained during a France friendly in August. Les Blues coach Raymond Domenech fielded Vieira the full 90 minutes in his side's goalless draw with Italy, to the worry of Inter officials. "I am disappointed by Inter's attitude, because nobody – apart from the club doctor – called me after Saturday's game at San Siro," Vieira was quoted as saying by Calcio Italia magazine. "If they had something to say, they could have called me directly and I would have told them my thoughts. I am not accustomed to discussing these matters through the newspapers." The former Juventus and Arsenal star doesn't care with any injury fears and intends to help France whatever happens. "If I am fit, then I will play. If nothing happens, then I return to my club and play this weekend. If it doesn't go well, then I won't play. I have no regrets."
