Peguy Luyindula's first-half penalty gave 10-man Paris Saint-Germain a 1-0 home victory over Zamalek in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday. The French striker converted the spot kick six minutes before the break after being fouled by Beshir Al-Tabie. The French club played the entire second-half with 10 men on the field after defender Gregory Bourillion was sent-off for tugging Amr Zaki while he was on his way clear on goal. Zamalek's newly-signed players Al-Tabie, Karim Zekri and Khaled Saad took part in the match but Mahmoud Fathallah, who missed his side's goalless draw against Nancy, did not make the squad. Paris Saint-Germain dominated the first-half and created several scoring opportunities while Zamalek rarely threatened the hosts' net. Jerome Rothen's cross in the 12th minute went straight towards Mohamed Abdul-Monsef's net but the Egypt international keeper brilliantly tipped it away. Substitute Mahmoud Abdul-Razeq 'Shikabala' could have scored the equalizer four minutes from time when he went face-to-face with the keeper but his lob flew high over. Abdul-Halim Ali also wasted a golden opportunity when he was picked out unmarked by Shikabala's cross but his poor header went wide of the post.
