Zamalek defensive duo Wael Al-Qabani and Mahmoud Mahmoud are set to leave the club, after the team has signed new faces in defense, according to sources inside the club. Zamalek have recently completed the signing of center-half Mahmoud Fathallah from Ghazl Mahalla, in addition to Beshir Al-Tabie and Karim Zekri. Consequently, French manager Henri Michel has decided to release some players in return, where Al-Qabani and Mahmoud were the unfortunate duo. A source inside the white club said that the axed players were sent back home from the team's current pre-season training camp in France.
