Ittihad of Alexandria have announced the signature of former Ahli and ENPPI star Reda Shehata on a free transfer. The 26-year-old forward signed a two-year-contract with the Alexandrian club worth EGP 450 000 in the first season and EGP 500 000 in the second, according to the club's vice-president. Mohamed Mosselhi. Shehata had a flamboyant start with Mansoura in 2000 and was a key member of Egypt youth team that won the bronze medal in the World Youth Championship in 2001. He was hired by Ahli right after. He spent there three seasons before moving to ENPPI but he had a very little contribution. He played a few number of games last season and scored a single goal. Shehata had to move away as he wasn't offered a new contract. Meanwhile, Mosselhi revealed that Ahli's duo Ahmed Hassan and Abdul-illah Galal will play with Ittihad next season. Hassan will arrive on permanent-bases as he had been bought for EGP 500 000 while Galal will spend the season on loan.
