Strasbourg have recalled Hosni Abd-Rabou after Ismaili chairman Yehia Al-Koumi failed to pay the 500,000 Euros to take up the option of turning the player's loan deal into a permanent one. "Strasbourg board's decision is a final one, they contacted the Egyptian Football Association to inform Ismaili of the new developments," Abd-Rabou's agent Samir Al-Sayed told FilGoal.com on Wednesday. Al-Sayed blamed Al-Koumi's actions for Strasbourg's insistence to bring back the Egypt international midfielder. "Al-Koumi wanted to pay Strasbourg's dues on installments for four years, the demand which infuriated Strasbourg president Philippe Ginestet who was astonished, saying that the request is disrespectful to his side." "The Ismaili president has also caused uproar by his claims that he paid the 500,000 Euros to Strasbourg, which we later knew that it was completely untrue.
"Abd-Rabou wants to remain at Ismaili in order to play regularly as it is very difficult for him to break into Strasbourg's starting eleven," Al-Sayed added. The 23-year-old midfielder is frustrated at being unable to stay with the Dervishes as he demanded Al-Koumi to solve the matter as soon as possible. The influential midfielder's tentative situation with Ismaili fuelled media speculation that he could join Ahli or Zamalek next season. Moreover, an anonymous member inside Ahli ensured FilGoal.com recently that a board member has flied to Strasbourg in order to negotiate a 700,000 Euros offer for Abd-Rabou. However, he conceded that the Egyptian champions have not reached a final agreement with the player, who is still waiting to learn his fate.
