Sevilla striker Frederic Kanoute confirmed his stay with the Spanish side, moments after leading the team to the Spanish Copa Del Rey trophy on Saturday. The former Tottenham and West Ham striker has been linked to a return to the Premiership, but he has brushed the rumors aside. "I've got two years left on my contract and I'm not planning on moving from here, I've read a lot of things that aren't true," he told reporters after the cup final. Kanoute's 11th minute strike against Getafe handed Sevilla their third trophy this season after previous victories in the UEFA Super Cup and UEFA Cup, and the Mali international wishes to continue his spell. "I've had two great seasons here and now we've won another trophy. My aim is to keep on fighting for Sevilla." The 29-year-old helped Sevilla to a magnificent campaign this season besides their cup victory, hitting 21 league goals to help the team clinch third place by a narrow margin. However, Kanoute admits that preserving their status next season will not be easy. "It will be very difficult for us to do the same next season, but we will try," he added.
