AC Milan announced on Saturday that they have pulled out of David Suazo deal after the Cagliari striker signed for their arch-rivals Inter Milan. "Milan learned after the fact that the player had already signed a contract with F.C. Internazionale and they are now withdrawing from negotiations," Milan said in a statement on their official website. "Milan want to emphasize that they have acted legally in conforming with the national and international sporting rules and regulations." The Rossoneri have recently announced the signing of Suazo after reaching an agreement with Cagliari. However, they found out later that the Honduran hitman has already signed a contract with Inter, activating a release clause in his contract with Cagliari. According to Italian Football Federation official Mario Stagliano, Suazo could be handed a six-month ban for signing a contract with Inter before the clubs had reached an agreement, Calcio Italia magazine reported. Milan could now turn their attention to Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o, who may reportedly leave the Catalan giants after the arrival of French star Thierry Henry.
