Ahli playmaker Mohamed Abou-Treika's injury is not as bad as initially feared and he should be fit to face Hilal in the CAF Champions League, the Egyptian champions said on Thursday. Abou-Treika was substituted ten minutes before halftime during Egypt's 1-1 friendly draw with Kuwait amid fears that he could have aggravated the groin injury which sidelined him for two months. However, the medical examinations confirmed that the former Tersana playmaker suffers a pelvic pain and a slight hamstring strain, Ahli said on their official website. Ahli's medical team said that Abou-Treika is set to be out of action from one week to ten days but is expected to take part in Hilal's match. The defending champions, who are looking to win an unprecedented third successive African title, kick-off their Champions League group stage against Sudan's Hilal on the 24th of June.
