Ahli assistant coach Hossam Al-Badri admitted that his side's path to the CAF Champions League semi-finals will not be easy after the title holders were drawn in a tough group. The Cairo giants have been drawn with Sudan's Hilal, ASEC Mimosas of Ivory Coast and Tunisian side Esperance in Group B of Champions League quarter-finals. "Every team will be looking to grab a positive result against the defending champions, so it will not be easy to make the last-four berth," Al-Badri was quoted as saying by the club's official website. "All the Group B teams are qualified to play big roles throughout the African campaign. "We played against ASEC last year and know how much they are strong, Hilal knocked out Zamalek from this year's round of 32 and Esperance have reshuffled their squad after adding many youngsters." Ahli are looking to win an unprecedented third successive Champions League title as well as surpassing Zamalek's record of five African triumphs.
