Zamalek grabbed a long awaited 2-0 win over Ahli on Monday, but how did each player fare in the Cairo derby. The FilGoal.com team gives you its assessment of each player (out of 10): Ahli players: Amir Abdul-Hamid (7): He was up for the occasion and made some vital saves for Ahli, including one from Wael Al-Qabani's penalty kick. Yet, he conceded two goals, even if they weren't his fault. Mohamed Sedik (4): He is very slow to be a sweeper, not to mention that he is a bad marker, and has a problem with high balls. Wael Gomaa (5): He started the game strong and managed to contain Abdul-Halim Ali, but soon got tired and started committing mistakes, one of which cost Ahli a penalty kick. Ahmed Al-Sayed (2): Also started the game well, but his mistakes cost Ahli both goals. It's a shame that someone with his experience gives such a below-par performance. Ahmed Adel (4): This guy can run, but was highly ineffective both in his offensive and defensive roles. Ahmed Shedid (6): The diminutive winger was active on the left flank and played with a lot of heart, but failed to provide his teammates with decisive crosses in Zamalek's area. Hossam Ashour (6): He was responsible for marking the much faster and skilled Shikabala who outsmarted and outpaced him for the majority of the game, but his resilience definitely stopped the Zamalek playmaker from causing more damage. Anis Boujelbene (4): The Tunisian gave a dismal performance in midfield. His role on the pitch seemed to confuse everyone who is watching, not to mention that he wasted a golden opportunity to open the score for Ahli in the first-half. Hassan Mostafa (6.5): As usual, the tireless was the most efficient player in Ahli but his passes were inaccurate for the most part. Osama Hosni (4.5): Even though he started the game very active, his curve went down and only appeared in the frame when he missed a goal and during his substitution.
Amir Abdul-Hamid gave a solid performance Ahmed Belal (6): For a stranded striker, who hasn't been getting regular football recently, Belal did well. He coped with his monstrous marker, Al-Abdi, and managed to control several balls, but couldn't find any support upfront. Substitutes: Ahmed Galal (5): A good sub who didn't have enough time to make an impact. The youngster missed a chance to pull one back for Ahli when he panicked and in front of goal. Ahmed Sedik (7.5): His presence was much needed from the start of the game. The effervescent player transformed Ahli's game in the 20 something minutes he played. Abdul-Hamid Hassan: Was not tested Zamalek: Mohamed Abdul-Monsef (7.5): He half his points for just showing up! The under-fire goalkeeper is notorious for his mistakes in the Cairo derby, but this time he stood his ground, especially when he denied Hosni's opportunity, but made a fatal mistake when he let Sedik slip by him. Wael Al-Qabani (7): The sweeper made a lot of mistakes. He was yellow carded, nearly cost Zamalek a goal when he let Belal steal the ball from him just outside the penalty area and missed a penalty kick, but provided good support for his teammates upfront. Amr Al-Safti (6.5): Cleared the ball off the goal line to deny Ahmed Sedik, but was cautioned unnecessarily earlier in the game. Wissem Al-Abdi (8): Managed to contain Belal and won a penalty-kick for Zamalek early in the second half. Tarek Al-Sayed (7.5): Exhausted Ahmed Adel down the left flank and had a couple of close attempts on goal. Ahmed Hossam (8): Formed a good duo with Mohamed Aboul-Ella on the right and managed to contain Shedid very well. Tamer Abdul-Hamid
