The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) said on Thursday that preliminary dates have been set for the rejuvenated Egyptian-Saudi Super Cup matches. EFA vice-president Ahmed Shobeir held a meeting with head of competitions committee Nayef Ezzat in which they decided on the suitable dates for the fixtures, the EFA said on their official website. Saudi and Egyptian League champions will face each other in Cairo on the 26th of August while the local cup winners are scheduled to meet one day later in Riyadh. The Egyptian-Saudi Super Cups were held twice in 2001 and 2003 but were halted afterwards due to unspecified reasons.
