Ahli coach Manuel Jose has postponed announcing his 18-man squad for the African Super Cup match against Etoile Sahel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Monday. The Portuguese manager is waiting to receive the green light on the fitness of recuperating midfielder Hossam Ashour before naming the squad that will travel to Ethiopia on Friday. Ashour had sustained a knee injury while on international duty with the Egyptian Olympic team.
Abou-Treika will miss the important clash This is the second time that Jose has postponed announcing the squad. The reigning African champions will be without star playmaker Mohamed Abou-Treika and striker Osama Hosni who are both nursing groin injuries. The two-time Super Cup winners are currently in a closed training camp in Cairo. They will undergo their first and only training session in Addis Ababa on Saturday.
