Ahli to launch satellite channel in June

Ahli have announced on Wednesday that their satellite channel will officially start broadcasting on June 15th, while the tentative airing will begin in a matter of days.
In a press conference, the club's chairman Hassan Hamdi said the Egyptian champions will have the exclusive satellite rights of airing the team's domestic games but they will be broadcasted terrestrially as usual.
After three-year negotiations, Arab and Radio Television (ART) network has won the race to include Ahli's new channel in its package, Hamdi added.
ART will pay Ahli EGP 33 million to cover all the club's sporting and social activities. EGP 800,000 will be added to the funds on a yearly basis.
Ahli will own 51% of the channel, which will be available for EGP 15 per month, and will have the right to choose type of programs which will be broadcasted.
