Tunisian side Esperance are set to table a bid for Zamalek defender Wissem El-Abdi, Al-Sabaah newspaper reported on Sunday. El-Abdi, who is yet to make his debut with Zamalek since arriving during the January transfer window from Sfaxien, has reportedly agreed on a switch to his homeland due to his recent problems in Egypt. The 27-year-old defender and compatriot teammate Yamen ben Zekri were sentenced to six months in Jail by an Egyptian court for physically abusing a policeman. El-Abdi, whose contract runs until 2009, demanded Esperance to open talks with Zamalek if they are to acquire his services, according to Al-Sabaah.
