The 36-year-old keeper will have to miss out on Holland's friendly international against Russia on Wednesday.
Rooney Things were brighter for Van der Sar's teammate Wayne Rooney who also had to be helped of the pitch on Sunday. The England forward underwent a fitness test on Monday before being cleared to join the Three Lions ahead of their friendly against Spain, United's website said. Rooney will be assessed by England team's medical staff over the next couple of days to determine his fitness for the game.
