Sevilla moved into the top of the Spanish Primera Liga after a 2-0 home win over Osasuna on Sunday. In-form Malian striker Fredi Kanoute opened the score line five minutes after the break from the penalty spot before Brazilian Adriano Correira ensured the win three minutes from time. The victory put Sevilla in charge of the league table with 21 points, one ahead of second-placed Barcelona, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Deportivo La Crouna. Elsewhere, Real Madrid missed the chance to narrow the gap with the leaders after slumping to a 2-1 defeat to Celta Vigo at the Santiago Bernabeu. Anderson Nene stunned the home crowd in the 36th minute but Brazilian midfielder Emerson leveled the score two minutes before the interval. Jorge Larena sealed the precious win eight minutes before the final whistle. Real Madrid are fourth with 17 points while Celta Vigo lie 11th on 13 points.
