Real Madrid edge ten-man Gimnastic to go third

Real Madrid went third in the Primera Liga table after a 2-0 victory over 10-man Gimnastic on Sunday.
Brazilian striker Robinho put Los Merengues ahead in the 56th minute before Nastic's David Garcia scored an own goal that sealed victory for the Capital-club.
Gimnastic had defender Cesar Navas sent off as early as the 6th minute for a foul on Ruud Van Nistelrooy.
The win guaranteed Real third place with 48 points, five points behind leaders Barcelona, and Sevilla who also beat Celta Vigo on Sunday to share top spot with the title holders.

Kanoute
Frederic Kanoute converted from the penalty spot to give Sevilla the lead in the 52nd minute after Celta's Gustavo Lopez handled in the area.
Celta's woes were compounded when Fabian Canobbio was given his marching orders in the 74th minute after a rash tackle.
Russian striker Alexander Kerzhakov sealed the win for Sevilla with a last gasp goal from an organized counter attack.
