Egypt will play a friendly against South Africa on the 16th of November in London, Egyptian Football Association (EFA) president Samir Zaher said on Thursday. "We will receive $50,000 for playing the match and will have 6 commercial boards in the pitch," Zaher told FilGoal.com The company that will organize the friendly chose to hold the game in London but the venue hasn't been determined yet. Zaher said Egypt received an offer to play against Slovakia but the national team's coach Hassan Shehata preferred to face South Africa. "Slovakia are a promising team in Europe but Shehata opted to play against South Africa because all Egypt's commitments in the coming period are purely African." Egypt will face Botswana on Saturday in the 2008 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
