Zamalek club president Mamdouh Abbas has talked to Ahli midfielder Hassan Mostafa regarding a future move, a Zamalek club official said. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told FilGoal.com that Abbas called up Mostafa and made him an offer to join Zamalek after his contract with Ahli expires. Abbas also suggested the 26-year-old sign an initial agreement that would activate his contract Zamalek as soon as he leaves Ali at the end of next season, the source claimed.
Mostafa has reportedly asked Abbas for more time, noting that he has not decided whether he wants to continue with Ahli or not. Mostafa, who joined Ahli from Ittihad Alexandria in January 2004, is currently serving a three-week suspension imposed by the club. The player had stormed off the pitch during Friday's training session and in turn was omitted from the squad for Sunday's Champions League match against ASEC, which Ahli won 2-0.
