Ahmed Hassan scored to help title holders Anderlecht register a 2-0 home victory over Lokeren in the Belgian League on Saturday. Nicolas Frutos opened the score in the first-half stoppage time before Hassan sealed the victory six minutes after re-start. The fifth win for Anderlecht in the new season put them on top of the league table with 16 points, while Lokeren left sixth with nine points. Hassan returned to the team's starting line-up after he was fielded as a substitute in the last league game against Mouscron because he wasn't mentally ready due to the death of his Egypt teammate Mohamed Abdul-Wahab. The Egypt skipper's first chance came in the 36th minute when his close-range header went just wide. Frutos put Anderlecht ahead just before the break when he connected with Mbark Boussoufa's inch-perfect cross to head home. Hassan ensured the win in the 51st minute with a brilliant diving header from Mohamed Tchite's cross.
