Gallas warns Cole of Mourinho factor
Published in FilGoal on 03 - 09 - 2006

French defender William Gallas has warned Chelsea's new-signing Ashley Cole from coach Jose Mourinho.
Cole moved from Arsenal to Chelsea in a swap deal that saw Gallas going in the opposite direction.
"I wish Cole luck and I hope he has the patience to put up with his manager," Gallas told The People in an interview on Sunday.
"Mourinho is a good trainer but he is fickle with his players," the French international added.
Gallas had repeatedly asked to leave Stamford Bridge and the relationship with his Portuguese manager had a dead end.
"The threat of making me play in the reserves is incredible when you consider what I have given to this club.
"In the last few years I have had offers from Italy and Spain but I have stayed loyal to Chelsea. But this has counted for nothing with Mourinho and that is sad.
"I have survived the last few weeks taking one day at a time believing that in the end things would work out for the best.

And warns Cole of Mourinho's "fickle" attitude
The 29-year-old has expressed his happiness in joining the Gunners.
"I wanted to leave Chelsea and Arsenal was the perfect club for me.
"They wanted me, they are a team going for all honors, and I am very happy in London and have a lot of friends here.
"I'm happy that I have joined Arsenal. I'm sure I will be treated better by their coaching staff than I have been by Mourinho in the last year.
Gallas portrayed Mourinho as a dictator and accused him of mistreating his players.
"What has happened to me has happened in the past to Ricardo Carvalho, Mateja Kezman, Paulo Ferreira, Asier Del Horno and Hernan Crespo. He uses us for his convenience.
"In the dressing room my teammates have been supportive but Mourinho is the boss and so nobody has spoken out for me," the Frenchman added.
Gallas is seeking a fresh start with Arsenal where coach Arsene Wenger is building a lot of hopes on him.
"I just need to start giving the performances on the pitch for Arsenal. I hope I win over the fans and they forget my past as a Blue."
