Roma coach Luciano Spalletti asked fans to be patient on Egyptian striker Ahmed Hossam 'Mido'. The 23-year-old striker rattled the cross bar when he came on as a second half substitute in the 1-0 friendly defeat to Hamburg on Saturday. "Mido played well and created some good chances" Spalletti told 'Il Romanista' newspaper on Sunday. The loss to Hamburg was Mido's first participation with Roma since his return from a successful 18-month-loan period at Premiership club Tottenham, and Spalletti said the player needs more time to gel with the team. "We must not be hasty to judge him, as he has only been in training with the team for 10 days, we need to give him the space to mature with the right level of calm," Spalletti added.
