England striker Wayne Rooney said on Friday a victory over Portugal in the World Cup quarter-finals can pave his side's way to the trophy. "We badly want to win it because if you get to the last four, anything can happen and hopefully we can do well," Sky Sports Network quoted Rooney as saying. "I think we have a good chance, we can certainly win the game. Hopefully we can win and progress to the semi-final." The 20-year-old is yet to hit his top form with England in the World Cup as he struggled to get to his full fitness after recovering from a metatarsal injury. Rooney hinted also that the Portugal encounter can be the highlight of his international career. "It's probably the biggest game of my career if I'm being honest. It's a massive game," the Manchester United striker said. England were ousted by Portugal in the quarter-finals of the EURO2004 on penalties after the regular and extra time ended in a 1-1 draw.
