Egyptian club Al-Gaish have appointed Talaat Youssef as their new coach, two days after Sudan side Al-Merrikh's coach Mohamed Omar turned down the a position with the military side. "I signed with Al-Gaish after I agreed all the contract's details with the Military's top sports official Mostafa Kamel," Youssef, who will begin work starting from next season, told Filgoal.com on Monday. "The contract will be presented to Defense Minister Mohamed Tantawi on Tuesday to accredit it," he added. The former Ittihad Alexandria coach did not disclose the financial details of the deal. Al-Gaish have also appointed Ahmed Al-Kass as an assistant coach, Mohamed Younis for goalkeeping and Mounir Hegazi as a football director. Youssef will succeed former coach Hassan Megahed, who passed away earlier this year. Al-Gaish finished the Egyptian league in sixth place.
