Ahli coach Manuel Jose said his side could have registered a historic score line against Zamalek in the Egyptian Cup final but stressed he is delighted with the domestic double. "We could have scored more goals," a jubilant Jose told a press conference following Friday's 3-0 victory in the Cairo derby. The win granted Ahli the domestic double for the first time in 10 years and was the fourth this season over their arch-rivals. Zamalek started the game in good shape but they conceded two goals in the first period through Emad Meteb and Emad Al-Nahhas before a second strike from Meteb sealed the victory after the break. "Zamalek dominated for 15 minutes then we found our flow and scored the first goal," the Portuguese coach said. "After breaking the deadlock, we took full charge of the game and earned a victory that could be bigger if we had some luck. "The cup title caps a great season during which we won five trophies thanks to the magnificent support from our fans." Ahli opened their account this season with the Egyptian Super Cup after beating Enppi then they went on to win the African Champions League and the African Super Cup. Zamalek players abandoned the post-match ceremonies and refused to receive their silver medals. No club official attended the press conference either.
