German coach Otto Pfister said he will return to coach Togo in their World Cup debut against South Korea on Tuesday. "I received a fax from the (Togolese football association) president and I will sit on the bench as coach," the German tactician was quoted as saying by Sky Sports on Monday. Pfister, who had quit his position as Togo manager last week after a row over the players' bonuses, said the players played an important role in his return. "The players intervened massively," he explained. Former Cameroon coach Winfried Schafer was tipped to sit in for compatriot Pfister following the latter's exit. Pfister's future with Togo after Tuesday's match remains undetermined. Togo play in Group G of the 2006 FIFA World Cup which also includes France and Switzerland.
