Mexico coach Ricardo Lavolpe hailed his side's fans following the 3-1 win over Iran in the World Cup on Sunday. "The crowd motivated us, gave us more incentive, and I believe in the second half they got behind us more and for that reason we won," Lavolpe said after the match. Omar Bravo scored twice to lead Mexico to a 3-1 victory over Iran in their World Cup match in Nuerenberg on Sunday. Antonio Naelson posted the third goal for the Latin Americans while Yahya Golmohammadi scored Iran's only goal. The victory placed Mexico in first spot of Group D and Iran remain pointless in the bottom of the table before Portugal and Angola clash late on Sunday. "In the second half, I believe the team started to loosen up, play better touch football. Before then they were a bit nervous," he said. Although he is delighted with the victory, Lavolpe intends to make his team produce better form next matches. "We have to keep working, correct some mistakes from the first half, but what gives us most satisfaction are the three points," he said.
