Alexandria – Hani Al-Awadi: Ittihad Alexandria have announced appointing Serbian boss Slobodan Pavkovic “Bob” as the team's new head coach for a $5,000 monthly salary. Bob put pen to paper at Ittihad's headquarter in the presence of vice president Mohamed Moselhi, treasurer Hesham Al-Turki and board members Al-Sayed Al-Thaalabi and Essam Shaaban. Ittihad signed the former Kuwait manager on a two-year deal for a $5,000 monthly salary in the first year and $7,000 in the second year if the club wanted to keep him, but the contract also includes a penalty clause of $20,000, a club source told FilGoall.com The newly appointed coach said that he doesn't care much about his salary with Ittihad and insisted that his primary aim was to start building a reputation in Northern Africa. Bob had taken over a number of Kuwait clubs such as Al-Kadhma, Kheitan and Kuwait before being selected to coach the Kuwaiti national team. On the other hand, former Ittihad boss Talaat Youssef said that he was forced to resign from his post after the team's defeat to Ahli in the Egyptian Cup and insisted that he put up with a lot of tension and pressure during the last couple of years because he was one of the club's sons. Youssef also revealed that he received a coaching offer from Syrian clubs Al-Majd and Al-Wehda.
