Zamalek set a 1.2 million Euros bid to sign Egypt striker Amr Zaki from Lokomotiv Moscow, a source in the Cairo club said on Tuesday. A delegation from Lokomotiv arrived in Cairo on Monday and held a five-hour meeting with Zamalek president Mortada Mansour, the source, who asked not to be named, told FilGoal.com. The Russians will meet with Ahli officials later on Tuesday to discuss the Egyptian Champions' offer to land Zaki, who is treated in Germany from a knee injury. Lokomotiv signed Zaki from Enppi after the African Cup of Nations in February but the 23-year-old forward was plagued by injuries and failed to secure a place in the starting line-up. Zaki was linked with Premiership side Newcastle United in January but he failed to impress during Egypt's campaign towards the African Cup title which diverted his way to Russia.
