Besiktas star Ahmed Hassan insisted that he hasn't joined any new club yet, denying reports that he already signed for Belgian club Anderlecht. "I haven't signed for any club and I've yet to reach a final agreement with Anderlecht or any other club, however, negotiations with the Belgian club are in their final stages," Hassan told FilGoal.com exclusively. The Egyptian international had already joined Anderlecht according to an Egyptian newspaper report on Thursday, but 2006 African Cup of Nations (ACN) best player denied such news. "Anderlecht are the Belgian champions and they will be playing in the UEFA Champions League next season, and that's why I'm closer to signing for them more than any other club, Besiktas included," Hassan said. FilGoal.com had revealed the offer made by Anderlecht to Hassan on April eighth as well as the player's trip to Belgium for negotiations on April 24th. The 31-year-old has recently also rejected an offer from Spanish club Espanyol, saying that the financial offer was unacceptable as it was less then what he currently earns at Besiktas.
