Emad Meteb scored twice as African champions Ahli kicked-off their title-defending campaign with a 2-0 away victory over Kenya's Tusker in the round of 32. Meteb opened the score line in the eighth minute when he fired a powerful shot home after being set-up by Angolan striker Flavio Amado. In the 76th minute, Egypt playmaker Mohamed Abou-Treika found Meteb with a brilliant pass and the international striker sealed the victory with a confident finish. The brace ended Meteb's six-month goal drought with Ahli this season as he scored his last domestic league goal last September against Aluminum. Ahli now enjoy a huge advantage before the returning leg after two weeks at home.
