Egypt co-captain Ahmed Hassan is targeted by Premiership side Newcastle, his Turkish agent said on Sunday. "Newcastle are serious and we're waiting for an official offer," Sky Sports network quoted Alper Gokdemir as saying. The Besiktas midfielder has told FilGoal.com in February that he is keen on a move to the Premiership next season. According to the network, Fulham are also interested in signing Hassan whose contract with the Turkish club ends in June. Hassan, 30, played a pivotal role in Egypt's victorious campaign towards the African Cup Nations title in February. He scored four goals, just one behind top scorer Samuel Eto'o, and was named the tournament's best player.
