Angolan striker Flavio Amado expressed his content with his excelled performance in the African Cup of Nations (ACN) and said that all he needed to show the same form with Egyptian club Ahli, was to cope with the team's style of play. “Angola's Flavio is the same as Ahli's Flavio, I just need to get used to Ahli's playing format and I need to gain some confidence through scoring and through the fans' support,” Flavio told Filgoal.com exclusively. Angola's top-scorer in their African Cup campaign also praised the Egyptian fans for standing by his country during their matches and said that he felt he was playing in his homeland. “I would like to thank the Egyptian fans for supporting us in our match in the African Cup, they made me boast in front of my compatriots that I play in such a wonderful country and in front such a magnificent crowd,” Flavio added. Flavio became Angola's top-scorer with a tally of three goals, the first against Cameroon, and a brace in the Togolese net. Nevertheless, Flavio's performance in the African Cup is a far-cry from his performance with Ahli, for which he scored only one goal, ever since moving to the Egyptian powerhouse at the start of the season, in addition to squandering a penalty-kick against rivals Zamalek in the African Champions League.
