Le Cameroun tête du groupe, RD Congo second

En battant le RD Congo 2-0 le dimanche soir à l'occasion des matchs de la dernière journée du premier tour de la Coupe d'Afrique des Nations 2006, le Cameroun a terminé en tête du groupe A pour assurer sa qualification aux quart de finale avec le RD Congo.
Les Simbas congolais (4 points) doivent leur qualification au dépend de l'Angola (4 points aussi) à une meilleure différence de but.
Le match a débuté très rapidement avec les Lions Indomptables qui ont acquis un rapide avantage de 2-0 par des frappes de Geremi, sur coup franc, à la 31ème minute et un but de Samuel Eto'o (34) qui est buteur de la compétition avec 5 buts jusqu'à présent.
Mais après ces deux buts les camerounais se sont relaxés et ne se sont pas donné à fond dans ce match au point que dans la seconde période ils n'attaquaient presque plus et se contentaient de faire des passes dans leur zone loin du but congolais.
Malgré la défaite mais ce résultat était en faveur des congolais surtout que l'Angola n'avait pu s'imposer que sur le score de 3-2 contre le Togo.
L'attaquant d'Ahli, Flavio Amado, auteur d'un doublé (7, 37) et Maurito (86) ont marqué les buts de l'Angola tandis que Kader Coubadja (20) et Cherif Toure Mamam (67) se sont inscrits sur la feuille du match de la part du Togo.
Par ce résultat le Cameroun affrontera la Côte d'Ivoire le vendredi prochain en quart de finale tandis que l'Egypte jouera contre le RD Congo.
