AC Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti refused to concede defeat in the Serie A title race after his side lost 1-0 to Roma on Sunday. "The distance from Juve? This loss complicates things a bit more as far as the table goes, but we still have many games to play and anything can happen," Ancelotti was quoted as saying by Milan's official website on Sunday. Rossoneri title hopes suffered a huge blow on Sunday after a 1-0 defeat to Roma, thanks to a late effort by Brazilian midfielder Amantino Mancini. The result left Milan in third place with 40 points, a massive 12 points behind leaders Juventus who look likely to retain their title. The Italian boss explained the reasons behind the disappointing show at the Stadio Olimpico, blaming mainly the inconsistent display by the UEFA Champions League runners-up. "The problem is that we weren't consistent, we grew insecure and lost our balance when things got difficult," he said. "But, we can get back to being more compact with more attacking play," the 46-year-old boss added. Apart from Ancelotti's remarks about Milan chances in the Serie A, Vice-President Adriano Galliani admitted the title race is over. "We've probably kissed goodbye to the Scudetto," Galliani was quoted as saying by Football Italia magazine.
