-Mohamed Abou-Treika equaled Mokhtar Al-Tetsh's record as the all-time joint-top scorer of the Egyptian derby with his 13th goal in nine years.
-By leaking in the 14th goal this campaign, Zamalek reached their highest-ever number of goals conceded in a single Champions League season.
-Zamalek extended their unprecedented run of winless games in all competitions against bitter rivals Ahli to 16 in a row.
-For the seventh time in a row in which they scored against Ahli, Zamalek managed to find the net in the first half.
-Ahmed Hassan became only the fifth player to score for both clubs in the Egyptian derby with his second-half header against his old club.
-Africa's fiercest derby brought the highest scoring game in the CAF Champions League group stage in two years.
-The last time a Champions League group-stage match witnessed a 4-2 scoreline, it was also an all-Egyptian clash when Ismaili beat Ahli in 2010.
-By scoring their 15th goal in their rivals' net, no other club in Africa have put more goals past Zamalek in their continental history than Ahli.
