Mohamed Salah's market value has risen to 8.2million Swiss francs (€6.6M), according to Swiss newspaper Handelszeitung. The paper issued a report ranking Switzerland's top players based on their market value on transfermarkt.com. Basel and Egypt forward Salah came in third place after club mates Aleksandar Dragovic (€7M) and Yann Sommer (€8M). Salah, 21, joined Basel from Arab Contractors in the summer of 2012 for a fee of €2.5million. He played a vital role helping the club retain the Swiss league title last season but his performances in the Europa League are believed to have boosted his reputation. Basel open their title defense against Aarau on Saturday.
